A little bit of a different twist to my typical Plan With Me video where I decide to be dedicated and film one for you even whilst on holiday for my anniversary! 😀
Still finding my way around planning in a personal planner but I can definitely say I’m loving how quick and easy it is to pull together a relatively complete spread given the more limited space 🙂 I’m still struggling to make the spread not only look great, but also be functional!
I’m slooowly getting the hang of planning in my personal planner, but I cannot admit to feeling 100% comfortable with it just yet!
Either way I hope that you do enjoy the video, it’s inspired me to think about how I’d like to plan and potentially work on some of my own kits to suit my personal style 🙂
Upon filming this video, it had admittedly been a little while since I last used my SewMuchCrafting inserts, only because I was still trying to figure out the best planning style to use. I’ve watched so many other Youtubers plan with these inserts and yet I struggled to find my own style. And frankly I think I still am struggling. I’m mostly just going with what makes sense regarding the kit I own, but in terms of getting to a stage where I feel comfortable? More work needed!
I will say that as a result, I am thinking more about what I’d like to see in a kit to make my planning style flow better so more food for thought 🙂
Unfortunately, by the time this blog post goes live, I’m pretty sure the specific sale on Kikki K I’m referring to will be over! However, Kikki K is known for constantly having some items on sale and having regular bigger sales, so I think the point behind the video still stands.
After I released my Kikki K Travel Planner flip through, I had a number of comments tell me that the price for that planner was just way too high. And I completely agree! I’ve witness over the years the price of Kikki K goods slowly increase year by year and it can be difficult for some of us who may be on tighter budgets or still studying to afford some of the beautiful items they have.
This is exactly the reason behind the haul video, to demonstrate to you that I essentially picked up well over $100 worth of Kikki K product, for around $35 thanks to compounding different sales.
If you are a fan of Kikki K, but are working with a tighter budget then I highly recommend you check out the sales when they arrive 🙂
When I first saw this planner pop up as I was doing my monthly browse of the Kikki K website, it was pretty instantly love at first sight! It had all the core characteristics of a planner I would typically love:
- Blue + Silver
- Small rings
- Zip Around
- Travel related
In retrospect as I write these blog posts, I wish I had taken the time to take more product photos so I could show you guys who read the blog more detailed photos of each page. It’s something I’m definitely going to change moving forward, but for now be sure to check out the video if you want to see what the planner looks like fresh in box 🙂
This was one of the first times I felt comfortable doing a Plan With Me on camera with my Sew Much Crafting inserts! It may not be obvious to people who don’t film Plan With Me videos, but it can be a little stressful sometimes if you’re not 100% comfortable and sure with how your plans are going to unfold! Which means you need to not only know what your plans are but have to be comfortable with the layout of the planner. Usually when I first start in a new planner I need a good few weeks to plan on my own, without the stress of a camera watching me to work out what works best!
I think no matter how many times you watch Plan With Me videos (and I watched many people plan in their Sew Much Crafting inserts) you never really get a good feel for it until you do it yourself 🙂 Hopefully you found my video interesting to watch!
